Queer Coded Comic Art: Black Christmas

I've always felt that Barb and Phyl from the original Black Christmas had something more going on than just good friends. Many people I've watched it with tend to agree on that, but I love the vagueness of the movie where it keeps a lot of things up to interpretation. This piece explores compulsory heterosexuality, or at least using heterosexual relationships to cover up homosexuality. It also includes an allusion to the fact when LGBTQ+ people die, their sexuality or non-cis gender seems to be the highlight of their death, not the fact that they were just a person who died. This piece is also a headcanon of the certain rumors that might spark on campus after that night.

About the Artist
I'm Corn, a sapphic hobbyist-artist into anime, comics, video games, and a general all-around nerd. My loves are many things from slasher horror to magical girls, so I'm not very consistent with the things I draw, but I like sharing them anyway!
