Jason’s Top Ten of 2021…So Far
Hello fellow book buyers!
I'd intended on writing a long and insightful article about my feelings on 2021. Then I went through the list of books I've read so far in 2021 (85!), and I exhausted myself trying to figure out how to rationalize ranking a top ten out of those.
So, you lucked out. I don't have the energy to be witty or introspective, but I did make a list!
Note: Not all 2021 releases
Here ya go:
10: Autumn Bleeds into Winter by Jeff Strand.
9: Wormwood by Chad Lutzke/Tim Meyer
8: There Comes a Midnight Hour (collection) by Gary Braunbeck
7: The Between by Tananarive Due
6: Along the Path of Torment by Chandler Morrison
5: The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
4: Unspeakable Things by Jess Lourey
Another note: Ranking these top 3 was impossible, but I tried.
3: Songbirds and Stray Dogs by Meagan Lucas
2: The Last House on Needless Street by Catriona Ward
1: Ormeshadow by Priya Sharma
This list will undoubtably change by the end of the year, but I think this is a good showcase of what fiction currently has to offer, even if you're picky (like me).
