[Pride In Horror Month] - #BookTalk focusing on Queer Rep by members of the Indie Horror Community
Today is the last day of Pride In Horror month, and what a month it's been!! We've had a blast celebrating and highlighting LGBTQ+ members of our Horror Community. If you've missed a post and want to catch up, you'll be able to easily find past content on the site by searching "Pride In Horror Month" or "Pride" in the search bar!
With all of our love and whole hearts, we truly thank everyone for your support and encouragement in our first PIHM. Thank you also to Jim of Gingernutsofhorror.com for participating in this event with us as well. You can catch all of the GNoH posts on their website as well.
To all of our contributors who made this month such a beautiful success, we thank you as well. Without your incredible contributions and creativity we would not have been able to pull this off. Each of you has offered a truly unique perspective on what Pride means to you. Your words have meant so much to so many, and you've taught us all quite a bit in the last thirty days. We want you to know we will always give you our full support, and hope that you know our platform is always a safe, friendly space!
We shared this post earlier in the month on our Twitter feed, but we're sharing it again here in case you've missed it! Thank you to everyone who has participated in our 45 minute reading compilation. Each of the contributors in this video is reading an Own Voices book or novel/story featuring Queer characters. We have conveniently listed the titles/authors of each book in the title card before each reading, but if you'd like a list typed out for you let us know! We are happy to oblige.
(Thank you also to our special guest at the end of our readings.)
Now, sit back, relax, and enjoy a little Queer themed story hour! And be sure to check out any of the organizations and events mentioned in the video such as www.frightgirlsummer.com and lots more!
With all of our love and our hearts full of joy, we wish you a very happy Pride Month!!
-- Fabulously yours, The Dead Head Reviews Team
