GUIDE FOR SUBMITTING MEDIA

Submission Guide

Are you submitting this on behalf of yourself or are you a representative?

-        I am submitting my own work – If you have created the media you are submitting.

-        I am a representative – If you are a publicist, publisher, or in any other role where you did not create the media you are submitting.

(If applicable please enter: Name and role of Representative) - Please confirm your name and role, for example – Jonathan Harker, Publisher

Media Creator's Name * - The name of the author, filmmaker, etc.

Media Creator's Pronouns and Preferred Name -  If you do use a different name than the one you’ve submitted under, please note it here. We provide the pronouns to our reviewers so they can ensure they refer to media creators correctly in their reviews. Please feel free to include pronouns we do not currently have listed.

Name of Publisher or Studio (if applicable) - The name of the publisher, studio etc producing the work or you can note if the work is self-published/self-funded.

Contact Email - Please provide the best email address we can use to request arcs/screeners etc.

Website - Please confirm the best website to use for further information or for promotional purposes

Social Media - Let us know where we and our readers can find you on social media

Short Creator Biography - A short third person bio – similar to β€˜about the author’ sections in books. These are so we can tell our contributors a bit about you as well as your product.

Genre - We cover a huge variety of genres on the website, and this helps our contributors pick the books that are right for them. You can select as many as you like, but we highly recommend sticking to two, maybe three at a stretch. For example – Horror & Sci-Fi & Fantasy doesn’t really tell us much, compared to Horror & Fantasy or Horror & Sci-Fi.

Age  - Similar to Genre, this helps our contributors pick the books that are right for them. Some prefer YA, others really do love Middle Grade and some have younger children they enjoy sharing books with.

Title of Media - The title (and subtitle if applicable) of the work being submitted for review.

Type of Content - The type of media you are submitting to review. We are happy to review anything, and have plenty of options to choose from.

Trigger Warnings - We are firm believers in trigger and content warnings, and like Genre, this helps our reviewers in making informed decisions about what they’re reviewing. We do not exclude media based on warnings.

How many copies are available for our reviewers? - Because we are a team based site, it’s best to know how many arcs we can offer. We do this on a first come, first serve basis. This is also helps if you have different formats available – for example, unlimited digital copies, but 1 physical.

Page Length or Media Runtime - Some of our reviewers enjoy shorter works, others love sinking into something longer. Like many of the other form requirements, this allows reviewers to decide if this book is right for them at the moment.

Please specify the media format we may receive for review purposes? - Please confirm if digital or physical, and any other details such as epub, PDF, hardback, etc.

Are digital copies available globally? (Yes/No, Please Specify) - Some publishers may have limitations on where content can be distributed. Our team are from various countries including UK and USA, so it’s crucial we know if there are limitations to this. Please specify which countries this is available in.

Are physical copies shipped internationally? (Yes/No, Please Specify)  - As above. We know indie authors often can’t afford to ship their books outside their own country, and with increasing costs this is a concern for publishers too. For any physical copies, please confirm if this is limited to one country or if you are able to post copies in other countries. Please specify which countries this is available in.

Short Blurb/Summary of Your Submission - This should be similar to what your back-cover blurb would say (and feel free to use that!). It’s there to give someone an idea of what your media is about, and should entice someone to dive in. Also see the blurbs/summaries wherever you can buy the product online, on Goodreads, etc.

Any additional questions or comments for our team or administrators? - Feel free to add in anything here you wish to note – this can be questions for the admin team, or any comments you wish to make!

Agreement and Acknowledgement of our Terms and Policies for Media Submission - You can find the media for review policy in full here. Please ensure you read in full before submitting your media.

I have read and understand the Divination Hollow Reviews Mission and Values Statements - You can read the full Mission and Values Statements here.

I understand that submitting media for review DOES NOT guarantee my work will be accepted for review. - Unfortunately we are unable to review everything that gets passed to us. There are a lot of factors that go into the decision of whether or not to review something. We get frequent review requests so are also unable to respond to confirm if we are unable to review. We will contact you to let you know if one of our reviewers is interested and confirm the format required.
