DIVINATION HOLLOW

Wonβt You Join Us?
Do You Want to Join the Divination Hollow Team?
We are opening our doors, and we are hoping to usher some new, friendly folks through them.
For the time being, our team remains voluntary, but if youβd like to join a friendly group and a platform that gives you space to talk about what youβre passionate about, weβd love to welcome you aboard.
We have set up an easy to complete Google Form for all those whoβd like to register their interest. Check below to see if the form is open or closed. Although not everyone who registers will become a contributor, if youβre happy for us to do so, weβll keep note of your name and contact you again when weβre looking for more people to welcome in.
But what does being a contributor mean?
We hope it means a warm, friendly place. We hope it means access to some excellent books (if books are your thing!) and space to discuss anything Horror and Dark Genre related. Weβve featured articles and reviews on films, video games, and books. We also hope weβre an encouraging bunch, keen to help people showcase their passions, and we help where we can.

JASON:
By nature, I'm a lone wolf. Always have been. My two favorite things in the world require me to be alone for extended periods of time:drumming: practice alonereading: alone
So why would I choose to be part of a team for book blogging? Just off the top of my head:
1: I suck at, and also hate, computer stuff (formatting, etc). Luckily, divination hollow helps me with that
2: I want to write about books, but I have no idea of how to run a website
3: With a team (and a supportive one at that), I have a group of trusted people to brainstorm with
4: No matter how much of a lone wolf I am, it IS comforting to be a part of something bigger than you
5: When the team/website succeeds, YOU succeed

RICH:
Being a contributor to Divination Hollow means a lot to me.
It means that I get to highlight and uplift voices from marginalized communities and practice equity with my reading and coverage.
It also allows me to spread my love and passion for the horror genre, as well as associated genres.
I'm supported by a great staff and it helps me uplift voices that need to be highlighted.

We want this to be something people can feel proud to be part of. We want people to feel they can send us their views on a wide range of topics. We encourage our contributors to approach us if they ever have a question or suggestion, and itβs important for us to know weβre doing our best by our team.
If you havenβt had something posted before, donβt worry! Just note that in the form, and make sure to mention what you are interested in writing. (Articles, reviews on a particular medium, etc.)
We encourage applications from people from all backgrounds, though we do not require that anyone disclose anything on the interest form. However, please note we have a zero tolerance policy in regards to abuse and harassment that we apply to every person we deal with. We encourage the use of content warnings when people submit media for review, and the mental health of our contributors is a top priority.
