Check out this list of Zombie Comedy alternatives and where to stream them!

Zombeavers

This horror comedy starts off like any other Horror Vacation movie: three college girls escape the oppression of higher education for a weekend of drinking, debauchery, and promiscuity. Then suddenly: zombies! Or are they beavers? Or worse yet — ZOMBEAVERS.

Life After Beth

Zach is utterly devastated by the death of his girlfriend Beth. When she unexpectedly returns, his whole world is suddenly flipped upside down! Beth begins an unseemly transformation from the woman he loves into something…well, you’ll see. It’s snarky, sweet, and of course darkly humorous.

Night of the Comet

Another hit from the B-Movie catalogue, but this time it’s a well-loved 80s classic! A group of goofy teenagers managed to avoid being a part of total annihilation. When they emerge from their hideaway, they discover most of the world has been vaporized by space dust when a comet passed too close to the Earth. Together they must fight the remaining stragglers of the human race: big, bad zombies!

Available to stream on Shudder.

Warm Bodies

This quirky teen romance horror comedy is the perfect date night choice. A witty, snarky adaptation of the novel by the same name, Warm Bodies tells the tale of an unlikely romance between the living and the dead. This madcap couple must work together to change the world for what little remains of humanity. Rife with plenty of humor to entertain teenagers and adults alike, this is a clever take on the zombie apocalypse story.

Available to rent or buy on Netflix.

ParaNorman

Norman has a special ability. He can speak to the dead! He’s so good at it, in fact, he prefers chatting with them instead of the living. When Norman’s kooky, bizarre Uncle contacts him about a secret Witch’s curse about to take over their town. When that dark magic causes the dead to rise, it’s up to Norman to use his powers to save the town!

Available to stream or buy on iTunes.

Black Sheep

When Henry returns to his family’s farm to sell off his portion of the property to his brother, Angus, he is completely unaware of his brother’s secret (evil) genetic engineering program! Available to stream on Shudder.

Shaun of the Dead

This comedy-horror classic by Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright has worked its way into so much of popular culture already. You’d be hardpressed to find someone who doesn’t want to “grab a pint at the Winchester” or giggle when their favourite Queen song comes on. But in the event you’ve never heard of it: the fate of London lies in the hands of a dingus salesman and his bumbling buddies! It’s good. Trust us.

Available to rent or buy on Amazon.
