Book Review: The Dead Girls Club by Damien Angelica Walters

There are a few things I absolutely adore when I’m reading horror, or thrillers: female central characters, some sort of coming-of-age or teenage tragedy aspect, and a chapter-to-chapter time jump. I got all three of these with Jeremy Hepler’s CRICKET HUNTERS, and I didn’t expect I’d be so lucky as to find another so soon. I’m absolutely ecstatic to say that Walters completely nailed every single thing I love in my thrillers on the head.

Men Who Write Women: We Need to Talk

It seems we’re facing a bit of a problem right now. And it’s a conversation we’ve had over and over and over. Some individual authors have listened, or spoken out, about it. Reviewers sure as hell have, but certain people seem to believe themselves ‘above’ the rest of us. Book Review: Castaways by Brian Keene

I don’t usually include trigger warnings in reviews, mainly because the stuff I read doesn’t typically require them. Not on purpose, and it’s possible I am missing something in the books I read that others might identify, but for Castaways I do think there are certain scenes one might need to prepare themselves for before diving in.

So, trigger warning – this book contains graphic depictions of sexual assault and rape.
