[Announcement] - Book Blogger's Novel of the Year Award In association with The Folio Society & The Write Reads
By Elle Turpitt
This is exciting news for all indie and self-published authors out there. Entries are now open for the Book Blogger’s Novel of the Year Award (BBNYA). This is a great opportunity for writers to get their books into the hands of over 100 bloggers. Book bloggers from all over the world are taking part in this, and the prizes for winning authors are fantastic.
This competition is exclusively for those published by small indie presses, or self-published. To enter and read the full requirements, head over to the website here.
As a general overview, the books entered must have been published between January 1st 2013 and December 31st 2019. This is a huge timeframe, giving a big opportunity for authors. The book must be the first in a series or a standalone, and the novel must be over 40,000 words.
A lot of the books we have reviewed here at Dead Head Reviews fall into these categories, and the competition is sure to be full of strong contenders.
What’s more, the prizes up for grabs are fantastic, from both The Write Reads and The Folio Society, who are sponsoring this competition.
The first-place winner will received a BBNYA 2020 trophy, badge, an Ultimate Blog Tour, a 100 pound Folio Society voucher, and a 100 Euros cash prize. For second to fifth place, winners receive a Standard Blog Tour, a Finalist badge, and a 50 pounds Folio Society voucher. Sixth to tenth place – because yes, there is more! – will receive a Mini Blog Tour, a Finalist badge, and a 50 pounds Folio Society voucher.
How amazing do those prizes sound?
The whole event feels very exciting, and there’s plenty of buzz coming from the BBNYA account on Twitter, as well as from the bloggers taking part. This is an exciting opportunity for exactly the kind of writers we like to promote.
And I, Dead Head’s own Elle Turpitt, am one of the many bloggers taking part!
So what are you waiting for? Go follow @BBNYA_Official, check out the website, and submit your work.
