Book Review: Would You Rather… by Kimberly Baer
One of my favourite books to read to the children at school is Would You Rather… by John Burningham. I love that this book gets the children involved and they really enjoy it and the story is never the same.
So, when I had the chance to read a YA version I jumped at the chance.
I knew this was going to be a great read but it was even better than I thought it would be. As the characters got their cards, I found myself playing alone, choosing which option I would go for. It turned out to be a very thought-provoking book.
The book was so fast paced and there was so much going on. There was a thrilling mystery as to who the sub teacher was and why this class had been chosen.
The concept was so well-thought out and so entertaining. This was so much fun and gripping from the first page. It was interesting to see how things turned out, and the ending was better than I thought it could be.
I loved that we got to see the perspective of so many characters. It really kept the story moving and allowed great insight into the teens and their choices.
I really liked how the classmates stuck together throughout the story and how they were there for one another, and worked together.
This is such a rollercoaster of a story and one to pick up. I will be reading more from this author.
