There are some books that by the time you have finished the prologue you know this is a book that you will be unable to put down until you have finished reading. And this is one such book. To say I was hooked is an understatement, I think had I been on fire I would still have needed to finish it, it was that good.

This was truly an amazing read. And the concept of the plot was genius.

Main character Linda Corrigan's (a comic book illustrator) whole world changes when her comic book editor disappears. When she asks around for him, no one has any idea who she is talking about. None of it makes any sense as these are people who have known him for many years. It makes her feel as if she is losing her mind, with no one believing her. Not knowing where else to turn, she files a missing person report with the FBI.

Enter Agent McPherson, also looking into mystery disappearances, and the only one to take her seriously. Together, he and Linda team up with a comics historian and start to investigate.

I’m not going to give any spoilers away because this book is too good for that, this deserves to be read by as many people as possible. There is so much going on with lots of interesting characters and the author gives us so much information. The way the author has written this book makes the plot flow smoothly. We get a history of comics, writers and illustrators which is extremely interesting.

This book held my attention throughout, and I was so disappointed to have finished.

There were a lot of times where I thought I knew where the plot was heading but then the author completely threw me, again and again sending the characters in the complete opposite direction.

I only hope that the wait for Vol 2 isn’t too long.
