Welcome to DHR’s Birthday 2025 - Celebrating the Past, Present & Future of Horror

Welcome, welcome, draw up a chair and settle in next to the fire. It’s very chilly out there and…oh, looks like it’s raining. What a surprise! We’re really getting into winter now, aren’t we? And as the weather gets colder and greyer and more miserable, we welcome you to our home. Open to all, of course. Since we launched Divination Hollow Reviews, we have celebrated our birthday every November with a special themed month. This year, we’re Celebrating Horror - Past, Present and Future! We have reviews and articles from our contributors, and we hope you do enjoy what we offer this month.

We’ll be going back in time and reviewing some of the older horror movies out there, taking a look at horror classics, considering what horror means to us today, and what the future might hold. We’ll also have the launch of a new review & article series - vampire fan(g)s, keep an eye out! - and the end of the month will see us launching a new reading challenge for 2026!

So raise a glass of your favourite beverage, grab a slice of cake and celebrate with us, as we mark our birthday and celebrate Horror!
