Eudora also shows compassion, to those who deserve it, and part of the book is also about the relationships between women, how our past can influence our present behaviours and way we treat others, sometimes not for the best. The story is tightly focused on Eudora and her experiences, as she uncovers the truth, looking for a way to remain at High Hearth.
