Women Writing Horror Rekindled My Love for the Genre
In January of 2019, a friend told me about a Women in Horror book club being hosted by a new local independent bookstore (www.whittybooks.com). Until that moment, I did not realize how much I had been missing reading horror. Somewhere along the way, I had become disenchanted with the genre. I was not entirely sure I wanted to join another book club, as the ones in my past generally involved members who would not even read the book to discuss (insert “I joined book club to drink wine” jokes here, because it is a fairly accurate description of some of the members). But, I decided to give it a chance and I found a community I did not even know I was missing.

Guest Post: Werewolves, Mood Swings, and The Hobgoblin of Little Minds
In the underground tunnels below Northville Psychiatric Hospital, the mood swings of the mentally ill are manipulated by a roque psychiatrist, transforming them into manic, savage beasts who seek justice by the light of the full moon.
I’m incredibly excited to announce my new novel, The Hobgoblins of Little Minds, is now available for presale in both Kindle and paperback formats. Publication date is less than 90 days from now. Thunderstorm Books will also be issuing a limited-edition hardcover, coming soon.
Book Review: “Halloween Season” by Lucy A. Snyder
This is Halloween, and don’t let it pass without picking up Halloween Season, Lucy A. Snyder’s collection of Horror and Dark Fantasy stories. Every story is consistently good. Every tale presented in these pages is, at the worst, good, at their best, absolutely bloody fantastic.
Book Review: “A Song for the End” by Kit Power
This is a novella about a song, and the truth, and lies and consequences. It’s tense, funny, and moving, with some absolutely fantastic lines that really underscore the overall themes. With this book, Power has unleashed something honestly intelligent and warm and horrific and brutal.
