Book Review: Castaways by Brian Keene

I don’t usually include trigger warnings in reviews, mainly because the stuff I read doesn’t typically require them. Not on purpose, and it’s possible I am missing something in the books I read that others might identify, but for Castaways I do think there are certain scenes one might need to prepare themselves for before diving in.

Book Review: Crossroads by Laurel Hightower

This might be a short read, but it is by no means an easy one. Trust me when I say this book will rip your heart out, store it in an ornately carved box, and deliver it to Laurel for her to dance off with it into the sunset, gleefully laughing as she rehydrates herself with the tears of readers. (Laurel is not The Evil Queen, but after this book I’m pretty sure ‘reader’s tears’ must be a core part of her diet.)
