Its purple battery throbbed inside its cylinder, and violet shadows oozed into the barrel. She placed her drink on the award shelf near the door that gathered dust β twenty-three figures stood there with her name engraved. She nodded to the guards, throwing a cardigan over her shoulders β not that it mattered what she wore, she knew sheβd wake up in something different.

Be brief. Thatβs one of the first big lessons you need to absorb if you want to become a screenwriter. Any books you read, classes you taken, overpriced workshops from hack gurus you attend, if they donβt mention βthe economy of words,β then ask for your money back. Now. Producers, actors, directors, all those folks above our paygrade, they barely read anything. So getting to the point with what they do read is essential.
